Hello to all my creatives of #draftcrearte. I hope you are having an excellent and productive afternoon. It is a pleasure to be able to greet you today, and share the process of a craft with scraps of fabric, for this creative contest. This time I will be making a crop top with pieces of jeans fabric that I have remodeled and I have left many pieces, mostly rectangular, which made me come up with a design in my mind of a beautiful crop top.

Let's see the step by step!

✂️ Step 1

We start by taking the two largest portraits we have and we are going to cut out the shape of a cup similar to that of the upper part of a swimsuit, I cut them to the calculation because it is for me and I already know more or less which is my extent. We reserve with continue with the other steps.

✂️ Step 2

In this step we are going to make a hem all around the cups and then we will attach the straps, finishing off the seam where they go.

✂️ Step 3

After we have our cups ready, we are going to take the other pieces of fabric and we are going to line them up to shape the garment and see how it will be assembled.

In this case I am ordering the remnants symmetrically, that is to say that they are all aligned.

✂️ Step 4

Then, when we have our garment assembled and tidy and we know how and where we are going to sew, then we go to the machine to sew it. First we are going to glue all the pieces, leaving a centimeter of seam allowance, obtaining a long strip. Then, with scissors, we are going to cut out all the centimeter space that was left, leaving two millimeters of separation.

We join all the strips on both sides and we are going to look like this with a fringed-type worn finish, then we proceed to sew the rest of the garment, which would be to join this part with the upper part that are the cups.

✂️ Step 5

Finally, we are going to sew the cups to the previous piece, gluing one cup to the other and thus we conclude with our project.

This is how our beautiful crop top with scraps of fabric turned out.
