Hello everyone
The game carries a tradition and culture of every country. Our country has many sports and according to the individual excels and likes different sports. Today I'm going to submit my entry titled Discuss My Country's National Game in a contest hosted by @memamun in the steem4bloggrs community mod. I invite @shahidalinaz @dave-hanny @jollymonoara you to participate in this competition.
Bangladesh's National Game kabaddi (Kabaddi) is an ancient popular game of Bangladesh. This game was declared as the national game in 1972 after the independence of the country. Now this game is almost extinct, before this game was played in rural areas, there are many arrangements in this game, there are two teams and make a box with a mark in the field, mark it in the middle, two teams stand on either side and one of the team goes to the house of the other team and makes the sound ha doo doo and the other. Poit is determined by having one team member come to touch and the other team players try to block him in their house. Ha Doo Doo is a strong man's game and requires a person to hold their breath for a long time. The game is played in a fallow land or sand in the village so that the players are less injured.
I watched this game as a kid and played it with many of my peers. I love and hate this tradition and sport of ours for some reason.
Reason for choice: kabaddi is our national sport. This game has a lot of popularity in our region and used to be played very organized. This game is a team game that teaches great teamwork among team members.
Dislikes: Physical injuries are common in this game. Many people were injured and death occurred in my area. Which I somewhat dislike.
I have some childhood memories of kabaddi, the national game of Bangladesh. There were two groups in our village who excelled in the game of kabaddi and used to eat with other villages. As spectators we went along as the team in our village won many prizes in this game once we won a black and white TV which made the whole village happy.
There are also bad memories about this game. The game was organized in our village and after the start of the game a player belonging to our village died of suffocation during the game which caused grief to the entire village since then this kabaddi game is no longer organized in our village. Since that incident, many people have given up this game of kabaddi.
There is no specific reason why kabaddi is a national game but it is believed that this game is a team game and to teach people to be united, this game is declared as the national game. This means that we have to unite to fight, thus making difficult tasks easier.
Good luck to you.
I wish you well
