How do films reflect societal changes in your country? (positive or critical)

Nigeria movies industry really try their best in term of producing quality movies, most of the movies have positive impact in the life of the citizen especially the youth. Nigeria movies is educative, informative as well as entertaining.

Most of their movies normally base on corruption, drug addict, sexual assault etc. Watching these movies help everyone to gain more knowledge about what is going on in our society particularly on the movies about corruption which expose the secret of government in the country.

They used some societal problem to produce movies to us as a citizen of a country which will eventually lead to solution to that problem.

What defines your country's film industry?

Nigeria film industry better known as Nollywood, this movies industry have been in existence for a long term, most of the actors, producers and directors put more effort to make sure the film meet the international standard.

Nigeria film industry is one of the biggest movies industry in Africa, they use modern optical lens to produce their movies, that is why majority of their video show sign of clarity.

They also try as much as possible to produce action, comedy and romantic movies so that people can enjoy their life to the fullest.

Tells us about your favorite film that embodies your country's identity.

My favorite movies is Citation produced by Yoruba film maker Kunle Afolayan, this movies was actually based on real life story and the film was shot in Obafemi Awolowo university, Ile Ife Nigeria.

The story is about a young girl who gained admission into the university for her postgraduate degree, the professor who supervised her thesis demand sex from her in return for good grade. Moremi (the girl name) rejected the offer from the professor, their was a day professor invited her to his house in attempt to rape her she pushed the professor to the wall and run away. In the following day she report professor to the university adminstration for necessary action.

Citation was produced in the year 2020, you can find the complete video on Netflix. Lecturers demanding sex from female students is very common world wide and is an illicit act to be eradicated totally in our society.

Conclusion

Our movies industry is fantastic, in fact they have upgrade themself to compete with other developed countries, even most of Nigeria actors were recognised for their performance in other countries. I will like to invite @esteem, @vickyson and @writer123 to come and join me in this contest.
