Assalamualaikum Alaikum friends, I hope you are all well, I am also perfectly fine. My post is about Eid-ul-Azha, which is a big religious festival of Muslims.
Every year the 10th of Zil Hajj is celebrated with greater enthusiasm and animals are slaughtered in the way of Allah.
In big cities, the process of sacrifice often lasts for three days, in rural areas, this process is completed in one day, but in cities, the villagers themselves sacrifice their animals.
But in cities, animals are slaughtered by paying money to butchers, and some people do not get time from Christians on the first day of Eid, so they sacrifice on the second or third day.
One of my uncles has gone to Lahore for this work, he said that he charges around 8,000 rupees for slaughtering an animal.
The meat of the sacrifice has to be divided into 3 parts, one part is kept for oneself and one part is distributed among friends and relatives and the other part is distributed among the poor and orphans.
It gives poor people access to meat to eat which poor people cannot buy in normal routine and sharing among relatives creates love and brotherhood.
Sacrifice is done according to the decree of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and it is the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him).
He did not avoid the sacrifice of his son on the command of Allah, so when he was ready for the sacrifice, Allah sent a lamb in place of his son Hazrat Ismail (peace be upon him). He was very happy that his sacrifice was accepted.
For centuries, Muslims have been performing sacrifices according to their Sunnah
Sacrifice also has many conditions which are very important to keep in mind, I will describe some of them
The slaughterer should face the Qiblah
And the back of the knife should also be towards the Qiblah
The animal's head should be slightly lower than the rest of its body so that the entire body protrudes from the neck
The sacrificial animal should not be disabled
Apart from this, people also come from far and wide to meet the wealthy and giving gifts to each other is also a common ritual.
I will also celebrate my Eid with great fun. On this occasion of Eid, if you suffer from many diseases due to food, avoid eating too much.
Amazing.
Wishing you best of luck.
Stay blessed.
