What is your favorite cultural tradition or celebration from your country? |
---|
Various types of cultural festivals are celebrated in our country. Our country is known for Ganga Jamuna Tehzeeb. Here people of every religion celebrate their cultural festivals with great pomp and people of other religions also participate in their festivals with their friends.

My favorite festival is Holi festival. On Holi, we play with colors, blow gulal abir, children like to play with pichkari. The main dish of Holi is Gujiya. Many types of dishes are made on Holi. And people go to each other's house to celebrate Holi.
On the day of Holi, people forget their grudges and hug each other and apply colours. Chhoti Holi is celebrated a day before Holi. In which Holika Dahan takes place at night.
It is believed that truth wins over evil.
On this day everyone goes and worships at the time of burning Holi. After worshiping, everyone applies color to each other and congratulates.
What is one cultural practice or custom that you wish more people knew about? |
---|
There are many such practices prevalent. But here I am talking about Holi, then I would like to tell a custom of the same festival that when Holika Dahan is done then we get a true pearl, which is very small, everyone eats it. And it is believed that eating this does not cause chicken pox.
On the festival of Holi, we play with colors and 4 days after Holi, our Basora means stale food is eaten on this day. There is worship in the morning, we go to the temple. Many types of things are prepared in worship and then no hot food is prepared in our place on that day. We eat stale food all day long.
I like this tradition very much because it is considered a big festival in our country. 1 day before everyone cooks food, prepares many types of dishes for food. Everyone applies henna, it is a lot of fun.
What traditional clothing or attire is commonly worn in your culture? |
---|
In our culture, mostly in any cultural festival or ceremony, women prefer to wear saree and lehenga and men wear kurta pyjama. This is our traditional dress. This dress has its own unique beauty, this dress represents our culture.
We can wear saree and lehenga in many ways. Both saree and lehenga are also stylish and we can present our tradition by wearing it in different styles. Nowadays men's kurtas also come in many types.
I would like to invite my three friends @mayberling , @sofian88 , @strecoza
