Welcome to my blog today as I am here to participate in this contest organised by @solaymann this is a very interesting topic to write about as I love winter season and more comfortable in this season than in summer.

How long does the winter season exist in your country

This is a very joyous moment in my country Nigeria 🇳🇬 as everyone is happy to experience winter and also the festive season a time of celebration all over the world.
In my country Nigeria 🇳🇬 the winter season exist from November and last till March in the south that is about a duration of 4 months which is 120 days.

During this season we all experience coal and there is also the harmattan which blows from the North to the South, causing extreme dryness and discomfort to the skin and it's commonly experience from November to January and sometimes till February.

In my area the winter traditions is very beautiful as everyone will be preparing for the coming of our lord Jesus Christ.
This season is best for organising events and occasion as they will be no rainfall to disrupt the occasion, during this season you will see everyone covering every part of their body while going our because of the dust and other things that are on the road.

Like our local area where I am staying now, farmers don't plant crops anymore because it won't grow as they will be no rainfall for a period of time so they don't stress themselves to go to farm anymore.
The winter season can be considered as harvesting periods for farmers who planted crops, this is considered the perfect to harvest all your crops that you have planted because if you don't it will end up getting spoiled.

The winter period is always a time for celebration as, farmers will be happy to harvest their crops and make money from it.

Those who practice pastoral farming and also livestock traders experience difficulties during the winter season as they will not be enough grasses for their animals to feed, which will make them to move from one place to another seeking for pasture for their livestock.

Cold or hot, which one do you prefer

I am a lover of winter season as I prefer to be in a cold weather than in hot weather.
During cold weather I am always comfortable and happy because I can easily wear a sweater on my body when we the coal is much in my body.

But in hot season if there's no electricity supply I will not be comfortable, during the hot season I sometimes sleep outside of my house because the heat inside can kill someone so I will sleep outside so that I will feel the fresh breeze and also experience nature but it's sometimes scary outside and I always put myself in prayers eash time I want to go to bed.

If it's in Cold season I can easily cover a blanket on my body and I will sleep very comfortable, I really live the winter season as it makes me happy and make my life activities easy and comfortable.
In cold I can wear any cloth that i want but in hot they are certain clothes that I am restricted from wearing because if I do I will die of heat 😂.

So i will proudly say that I do prefer the cold than hot.

My favourite clothes during winter are clothes that will cover all my body.
I mean clothes that are very big enough so that i will not feel the harmattan and cold.

During this period I prefer not to wear shorts, because I will end up getting Cold so I always wear long trousers and long sleeves shirt together with sweater, stocking and a head warmer to feel very comfortable.
