Hello steemians, I am delighted to be participating in this contest because this is my something that concerns the era we live in. In the world of ICT and information management, databases stand should raised as the backbone, providing a categorically structured framework for storing, organizing and recollection data.

DATABASE

A database is an organized collection of structured information, or data, typically stored electronically in a computer system.
However, database management system is a software to store, organize, manage, and retrieve data. Think of it like a group of massive spreadsheets that organize information. There's more than one type of database management system, and each is housed on servers, whether in a data center or virtually, on cloud infrastructure (cloud database).

The important and necessary component of a database is the table, the table is made up or rows which represent a record and columns which holds a specific piece of information. A table through it's structure ensures the integrity of data and simplifies the process of querying and updating information

What type of information is stored in a database?

1. Consumer data.
2. Business data .
3. Relationship data.
   Databases are used in most modern applications, whether the database is on your personal phone, computer, or the internet. An operational database system will store much of the data an application needs to function, keeping the data organized and allowing users to access the data.

DBMS (Database Management Systems) come with major improvements over filesystems.

1. Data is always synchronized; If someone changes something in the database, everyone will have access to these recently made changes. When just using the filesystem a lot of data containing the same information is stored on different machines and therefore is not synchronized properly. For example, one employee changes the address of a client on his machine.
2. Every file in the whole company that contains this information now also needs to be changed, manually. Otherwise, the data will be inconsistent. Database systems take care of that issue.
3. Reduces the stress of looking for data.

This is important due to the fact that your databases will determine how efficiently your mobile app can perform it's function.
Also, they enable a mobile app to store data, search for information, protect itself from cyber threat.
Furthermore, it enables data synchronization to be much faster.
Then for websites, where we have users interaction generating a great amount of inflow of data, databases plays an important role in ensuring seamless functionality and responsiveness.
It also enables realtime update of information on the sites and app.

In this our era of digitization, data is very important for innovation and success, database helps in management of this data.
Its ability to categorically organize, secure, and retrieve data not only makes our everyday tasks easy but also lays the structure for more complex systems and application. Whether driving the functionality of websites, supporting applications, or serving as repositories of knowledge, databases stand as silent pillars, shaping the seamless flow of information in our interconnected world.
