What is the traditional food of your country?
In Nigeria one of our traditional foods is called Jollof rice this is prepared from rice, tomatoes onions and spices the food can be cooked with meat fish or even vegetables it has a special flavoring.
And jollof Rice is a staple food and yet it is mostly eaten on occasions such as celebrations, functions, parties etc in Nigeria and depending on the part of the country, it has a unique preparation method. Rice popularly known as Jollof rice is common in Nigeria because of the colour and the aroma it acquires due to the slow cooking process, everybody including the tourists enjoy it.
Share the story behind why the food is traditional in your country?
Jollof rice has its origin in Nigeria but it was prepared by the Wolof people in Senegal, as with many traditional dishes, Jollof rice was carried around the region by the people of the Jollof Empire and was localized to each area it was taken to. Jollof rice also made its way into the daily life of Nigerians as it was taken as part of celebrations and parties, mark of unity and more so, the tradition of hospitality.
It became popular because of the great taste and ability to go with almost any Nigerian meal and so earned its place in the history of Nigerian food. Today Jollof rice has become one of the most demanded meals which act as a symbol of Nigeria’s cultural identity.

Yes it even my favorite i love it so much i can still remember on April that on the Easter day i went to the village when my mom prepared my favorite which is jollof rice and i really enjoyed it so well i don't think anyone can cook more better than my mom she's the best ❤️.

Normally jolly rice is something I don't jokes with, jolly rice with full ingredients not half.
But for me I see jolly rice as party food, and also celebration food, because it is food people hardly cook, even if they want to cook, they cook the jolly rice with half ingredients.
