Assalamualaikum hello everyone greetings from me and this time I will write a contest held by Mr. @artist1111, a very interesting contest about culture in the country, before that allow me to take part in it, before going further there are a few questions that Focused on this context include:
What are your favorite cultural traditions or celebrations from your country? |
---|
Indonesia is a country with a million diversity. Namely with various tribes ranging from Batak, Javanese, Sundanese, Betawi to Acehnese. The Acehnese people are predominantly Muslim. No different from other tribes, the people of Aceh are still thick with customs. Even though there are some traditions that have been abandoned or only a few areas do it, Acehnese culture is still able to survive in this modern era. One of my favorite traditions or cultures is plain flour or in aceh it is called peusijuk.
Peusijuk is a traditional procession in the culture of the Acehnese people which is still practiced today. This peusijuk tradition is almost carried out by the entire Aceh community. For example, when starting a business, occupying a new house, celebrating graduation and dispatching and welcoming the arrival of the hajj, this peusijuk is usually carried out by a religious leader, namely tengku (ustadz) because this peusijuk is carried out by people who understand religion and master religious law because this peusijuk prays for safety and common welfare in accordance with the Islamic religion
What is one cultural practice or custom that you wish more people knew about? |
---|
One of the cultural practices or habits that I hope more people know about is peutron aneuk or peucicap, which is a tradition for the people of Aceh to welcome the birth of a baby, namely by taking the baby out of the house and then placing his feet on the ground for the first time. This tradition is usually carried out after the child is 44 years old. days, 3 months, 5 months to 7 months. The people of Aceh believe that babies who have not done this should not leave the house first.
This tradition will be led by a religious leader who will be accompanied by zamzam water, dates, grilled chicken, and fruit. After reading the prayers, the baby will be tasted various flavors on his tongue with the aim that his senses will be more sensitive. And to get off this is a symbol of introducing the baby to the land and the environment as well as the hope that the baby will have a firm stance and an eternal faith, as the nature of the land is eternal. That's why I want this to be known by many people.
What traditional attire or clothing is commonly worn in your culture? |
---|
Acehnese traditional clothing can be used as a symbol of the character of society, culture, principles and unity. Aceh is known as the Serambu Mecca, which is an area that the Dutch could not colonize. Khad from Acehnese traditional clothing, which is a blend of Malay and Islamic culture.
The traditional clothes that are usually used in aceh culture are meukesah clothes, meukesah clothes are Acehnese traditional clothes which are usually black in color and made of silk woven material but in modern times there have been many modifications, namely maroon, green, purple nor pink. But the black color in Acehnese customs is known as a symbol of the greatness of Acehnese customs. The meukesah shirt has gold thread embroidery similar to the Chinese collar. The Chinese-like collar is an assimilation between Acehnese and Chinese culture which was brought by Chinese traders or sailors who passed through Aceh at that time.
that's all for my counter post this time thanks for everything and in this post I invite my friends @ikwal @rahmat31 & @pandora2012 to participate in this contest thanks for all greetings from me @realworld23.
