Hello everyone in this great community of great minds I'm @samuelebuka and I'm so excited to be here in this great community participating in this amazing contest organized by @abdullahw2 who's hard work I must confess I admire a lot and has inspired me a lot too.

In my heart, I hold a sad memory of my friend AbdulSalam, who fell prey or a victime to smoking. AbdulSalam was more than a friend; he was like family. his love for cigarettes led to heartbreaking consequences for him and his family.

AbdulSalam's Struggle: A Story of Pain

I don't smoke I never liked it for once but I have a friend who does, his name is Abudulsalam.

AbdulSalam was always cheerful, but smoking changed him. No matter how much I begged him and talked to stop, he couldn't break free. Sometimes Our talks turned into fights, and this made us drift apart. One day I heard he was sick and I went to visit him in the hospital and he told me he was diagnosed of cancer of the lungs and that he should have listened to me when i advised him but it was already too late for him, He passed away and it was a really sad moment for me and his family.

The Harsh Reality: How Smoking Harms

Smoking doesn't just hurt the body; it hurts the mind too. It sometimes brings anxiety and sadness, and stress and also physically, smoking causes diseases like lung cancer, heart problems, and breathing issues. It steals and destroys ones health and happiness, piece by piece

How can you guide someone to quit smoking and come back to his normal life?

Finding a Way Out: Helping Someone Quit

Helping a friend like AbdulSalam quit smoking takes patience and love. Listen to their struggles without judging.Try to show them the dangers of smoking and the benefits of quitting, like feeling better and healthier and also saving money. Think about ways to quit together, like using patches, talking to a counselor, or joining a support group and also be their rock, reminding them that quitting is possible, even if it's hard.

AbdulSalam's death fills me with sadness and regret. I wish I had tried harder to help him quit. But in this sadness, there's a lesson โ€“ to fight against smoking's grip.

Conclusion

let us remember that the danger of smoking is not just to one person; it affects everyone around them. By working together we can help someone to break free from the addiction of smoking , creating a healthier and happy world for all.
