The Diary Game [June, 16, 2024]: The Beautiful cultural day

If you can remember my previous diary game I told you guys how our transformer had issues and since then we rarely have electricity in my location, this power failure has really affected us so well because in my location electricity power is used to power our mobile devices and even pump water for various reasons. The most important part is the fact that we need water for a daily activities and now the only source of generating that water has been taken away from us and the power supplying company is actually taking a lot of time to replace the transformer for reasons best known to them.

Today being the cultural day for my parish we all parishioners I expected to participate in all the activities which is supposed to be based on cultural lifestyles of all the ethnic group in the country. This occasion is expected to be held in the church and so therefore it would be a massive event. Because of the importance of the program I am and my family have to prepare for the program but unfortunately for us there is no water that to use for bathing or cooking.

So early in the morning we are my siblings took up plastic buckets to go in search of water so that we won't miss day program that is upcoming today. After 15 minutes walk around the area we discovered that some people use diesel to power their pumping machine so therefore their taps are running, the site of water give us joy and with immediate effect we took our buckets and headed today source of this water. We pleaded with the owners and the hard pity on us and allowed us to fetch from their tap but with a fee attached. She said we would pay 50 naira roughly 0.25 steem for each bucket we fetched.

Finally after fetching the water, we took it back home and with immediate effect we started preparing for the cultural day service in the church, and after like 45 minutes we finished our preparation I headed straight to church so that we won't miss the program which everyone has been anticipating for a long period of time.

Finally we are at the location the program which unfortunately is our uncompleted church but we passionate are still happy to worship the Lord in the location till the day we finally complete the building, although this is smaller completed church but because of the large event which is expected to drag a large amount of people, the priest decided that we worship in the large uncompleted church.

Mere looking at the picture, you will see that indeed the day was very colorful with so much cultural attires, everyone was representing his ethnicity with their well-known cultural attires. I must say I really enjoyed the program. In fact mass was started with the procession of the priest second by the representative of every ethnic group in Nigeria, you can see that in the picture below.

So this was how the program went and everyone was happy that the long waited cultural day became a success, and after the program there was a little reception which I didn't wait for because I needed to go home and continue share my diary game with my fellow steemians.

The joyful celebrations of the day didn't just end there, at around 7:30 p.m. every one was surprised to see that the electricity power has been restored and it is now stable as it used to be. I was so glad that from now onward I could easily charge my phone without paying and also pump water from my compound without going out to search for water.
