Every country has different games and some are national games and some are games that are played by people but are not national games. But for many years I had no idea that our national game is hockey. I used to think that our national game was cricket because it was very popular. But later I came to know that our national game is hockey and not cricket. But cricket is very popular. It is played in every street and neighbourhood. In childhood, whenever we had holidays, we used to play cricket because we did not need many things for it. But if you play hockey, then you need a lot of equipment for it.

What is the name of your country's national sport? Describe the game.

I am a resident of India and this country has become very famous in the last few years due to some of its bold decisions and a lot of things are happening even now and the national game of my country is Hockey. Though this game is not very popular in history there used to be very popular players from our country who took this game to great heights and made our country proud. Do you like the game? Describe reasons for liking or disliking.

To be honest, I don't like this game because in my childhood I played mostly cricket and football and these used to be the biggest games, very few people used to play them and the trend is still the same. Yes, many people find it interesting but cricket and football were my favourite games and even now I play them alone sometimes, I don't have much freedom, I can't say that I don't like these games, I still have some friends who go to play cricket on Sundays, but hockey is not that popular here. The craze for football is increasing these days, but the price of cricket is of a different level.

I do not have any such memorable moment related to the national game to share but during my childhood when we were in school then I had some friends who used to play hockey or I would say they used to participate in all types of games so sometimes when we used to go to play with them then I too got a chance to play it but believe me I did not understand this game and neither did I find it that interesting so I never thought much about it nor did I ever play it.
