Snails are a type of land mollusc that has a soft body and is covered with a hard shell. This is their main means of self-defense.Snails generally prefer moist environments and live on tree leave moist soil or shaded area.The image shows the snail clinging to the back of a leaf suggesting it may be resting trying to hide from a predator.

Snails move very slowly because the lower part of their body secrete special type slimy substance mucus which helps them move smoothly.In this process their leg muscles contract and stretch, causing them to move forward slowly.

As the leaves and surroundings in the picture suggest, this is a natural green area with moisture and food that snails need.Snails usually survive by eating leaves, small algae and other plant material.Snails play an important role in nature.It increases soil fertility by eating dead vegetation and is also used as food by many birds, frogs and other animals.Hence snails are considered as an important part of nature's food chain.

These pictures are a wonderful example of nature beauty and biodiversity.It teaches us that even the smallest creatures in nature have a special role and importance.So we should conserve such biodiversity and live in harmony with nature.
