The mobile fruit hawker with a loud P.A. system passed-by again selling watermelons and these local melons. I am intrigued by its taste and I have no idea if they are sweet or not. But I am guessing that they are like Cantaloupes which are at a premium price which is why I am not buying those because they are imported and are commanding a high price and who knows if the farmers that reared or farmed those cantaloupes with extra chemicals like I even saw that some or maybe most farmers of imported sweet potato which look like the imported sweet potato that I am seeing which are imported from Japan as they say are being farmed using harmful chemicals where the farmers themselves grow for their own consumption without those chemicals, it is sad but that is what I saw in one YouTube channel, "China Observer", and its scary.

Anyway, I assume that these Melons aren't farmed using harmful chemicals otherwise they will not be cheap although I guess that they could have been more cheaper if not from the ravages of inflation. I also wanted to have some watermelon but it seems that the said fruits can be farmed as often as farmers likes because they are available again in the market which makes me happy because I can enjoy them again after waiting for some time and in many instances within a year.

I am quite paranoid now in eating fruits because of the chemicals that are being used especially for popular store-bought fruits like the usual grapes of all types, apples, peaches, pears, strawberries, blueberries, etc. particularly those with thin skin as mentioned while the thicker-skinned ones like watermelons and melons should be comparatively safe. Even ripe mangoes seems to be not safe because the use calcium carbide stone fumes create arsenic and definitely harms whoever would eat such fruits that are ripened using Calcium carbide.

That is why we have to be aware of what we should eat because there are danger everywhere and it is reflected on the cases of cancer being prevalent nowadays which I personally attribute to the foods that we consume in our modern times even if we seemingly eat good foods like fruits for that matter and because of that we always have to be proactive in many things that we do in our lives so that we can be more safer and maybe even live longer.
