Fuengirola was originally a tiny fishing village. Over time it has become a very popular holiday destination. Located about a half-hour drive from both Málaga and Marbella, it's a place I prefer to spend time in every summer and remains a cherished spot for me. One of my favorite activities here is taking evening walks. Fuengirola boasts excellent nightclubs, pubs and bars. The nightlife starts early and ends late, ensuring evenings are as vibrant as the days.
Calle Moncayo stands out in the nightlife scene and is one of my favorite areas. Known as fish alley this area hosts numerous bars and restaurants. Aside from great places for tapas, bars like Aroma and Casa Castellana also serve excellent wines and cocktails, perfect for enjoying before hitting the clubs. Especially lively and bustling during the summer months, the town offers a wide range of activities, catering to solo travelers, romantic getaways and families alike.
While visitors often enjoy the superb beaches and delicious gastronomy, overlooking Fuengirola's appealing nightlife is impossible. It may not be as famous as Marbella, but I believe Fuengirola's nightlife rivals it. It's a great choice for weekends, with favorite clubs of mine including El Pihama, Club London and Bet & Play. Particularly Bet & Play is ideal if you want to spend the night playing pool and table football, enjoying a drink and watching sports. Its central location is a major advantage. If you're considering a night out around Málaga, I highly recommend not forgetting about Fuengirola.
