Flowers Photo Contest | Wildflowers of Sardinia: Tiny Flowers

Hi everyone,
to enter the contest by @turkcayi, today I show you other flowers typical of the Mediterranean scrub, this time they are very small and less showy, but just as beautiful!

Cistus salvifolius

This little flower grows in the bushes, these two that I photographed are under a tree near the ground, even if in some areas there are very large fully flowered bushes. Cistus is used to extract perfume essences.

Lathyrus

I'm not sure if that's the name, as there are many variations of the Lathyrus. What I photographed is a very small flower, like the phalanx of a finger. Here I find several specimens, distant from each other in the grass. It seems to be a toxic plant for humans.

Anacamptis morio Longicornu

I didn't expect to find this flower because I rarely see it. Usually, you can see a much more common and frequent purple variant of Anacamptis. Here is white-pink and still in bud.

Cerinthe Major

These deep yellow little bells are very pretty and grow in clusters on small bushes. They are often surrounded by bees.

Anthillis Vulneraria Iberica

This flower, still in bud, blossoms into a very low seedling. Here it is reddish-purple, I thought it was typical of the Mediterranean, but I discovered that this is a variant because the main plant with the yellow flower is also present in Northern Europe.
