Here is my photo of the Church of Santa Maria presso San Satiro in Milan, a jewel of Italian Renaissance architecture.
I was particularly struck by the ingenious perspective illusion of the apse, created by Donato Bramante, which adds depth and grandeur to an otherwise limited space.
I aimed to capture the symmetry and harmony of the decorative elements, which are typical of this period. The coffered golden ceiling, the central altar, and the checkered floor create a visual path that guides the eye towards the spiritual heart of the church.
For me, this photo represents not only an example of architectural mastery but also the balance between innovation and tradition that characterizes the Renaissance.
