Oha soup

This is @okere-blessing bringing premium African delicacy to everyone, when it comes to swallow I give it to Africans, we have nutritious meals that has all the needed ingredients that's nourishing .

I have with me Oha soup , the leaf used in preparation of this soup is called Oha and it's more common among the eastern part of Nigeria , This leaf is seasonal though agriculture has made some seasonal leaf and fruits to be seen anytime, there are many ways of cooking this yummy food. This particular style that I prepared is more of the English style.

I have the preparation procedures as follows.

  • Fresh pepper
  • Salt
  • Maggie
  • Dry fish
  • Cow meat
  • Kopmo
  • Okra
  • Hand peeled melon
  • Palm oil

Wash the pot with clean water, place it on fire cook all your proteins ,set them aside and pound the Fresh pepper, cut the okra into smaller sizes. Cut the Oha leaf with your hand not with knife.

Place the pot back on fire, add your palm oil into the boiling pre-cooked proteins allow it to mix well, add your seasonings, put the grinded melon ,stair and allow it to cook. Put the sliced okra, give it little time to cook together taste to see if everything is ok. Then pour your chopped Oha leaf and the food is ready.

I really like your food photography. But I still don't know the name of the food but the food you showed looks very nice. Many thanks for presenting the beautiful photography among us.

It is an African delicacy. Nigeria to be precise. Have you been to Africa? When you come I will serve you this soup very delicious.
