A market in a temple is a food source for working people.

Hello friends, I hope everyone is well. Today I will take everyone to visit another flea market that I often go to. This flea market is called the Monday Market or Wat Nong Takaeng, Nong O Subdistrict, Ban Pong District, Ratchaburi Province. There is "Luang Pho Anothai", a sacred Buddha image of Ratchaburi and is highly revered by the locals in Ban Pong District. It was built in 1907 in the area of ​​Nong Takaeng Village, in Soi Ban Bang Tan. Later, it was moved to build a new temple at its current location and was named "Wat Chantharam" in 1930.

The locals believe in the sacredness of Luang Pho Anothai, which appears in many matters, such as business, illness, education, job applications, and love relationships, which has greatly respected the locals. They all come to pay homage and pray to Luang Pho Anothai to grant them their wishes. When their wishes are fulfilled, in addition to boiled eggs and various fruits, the things to fulfill their vows are outdoor movies. It can be said that it is held almost every night. It has become a habit for the villagers of Nong Takaeng. If there is no sound or a movie is shown on a certain night, it is as if something is missing. Currently, there is a movie projector in front of the Luang Pho Anothai temple all the time. It can be said that people come to make merit almost every day. Some days there are several screens. This market is located in the temple area. It is open every Wednesday and Saturday, the same as Nong Pho Market. We sometimes switch. There is another market that is similar, Ban Luek Market.

Wat Chan Market has restaurants that the temple has set up as the main area for selling in stalls. It is open every day. We like to eat Pad Thai Jae But and Tom Yum Egg Noodles. We also walk around looking for more food in the market. However, the market is smaller than Nong Pho Market. There are fewer products and they are packed faster because there are factories nearby, so there are a lot of employees coming to buy things.
