On this trip to Cuba, I had countless glasses of mojitos. Mojito is one of the most famous rum-based cocktails, and it originated in Cuba. This cocktail is made from five ingredients: rum, sugar, lime juice, soda water, and mint. The ingredients are relatively simple. What surprised me is that buying rum in Cuba is more expensive than buying it back home. One day, I visited the Havana Club Rum Museum in Havana. Rum is a distilled spirit made from sugarcane, and it's said to have been accidentally discovered by enslaved people at the time. Interestingly, Havana Club has domestic agents back home, and their prices are even cheaper than buying it in Havana!
