Hello Everyone

It's pleasure for me to participate in week 2 in engagement challenge season 20
I am @sualeha from Pakistan so guys let's start my blog that regarding Hemoglobin.

Death of Rafael Rangel

Well the mistry behind the death of scientist
Rafael Rangel from Venezuela we have to know that he was the first notable scientist ,one of the pioneer in parasitology. He made remarkable contributions to medical science, in the history of medical science before his suicide specially in the study of infectious diseases. He researched tropical diseases in Venezuela, including on hookworm although Rangel faced challenges to recognition for his work. The lack of resources and misunderstandings about his research , depression all of that made his reasons of death.Hid great job still remarkable certain in the history of medical science.

Rangel's death was the result of suicide by injecting Drabkin's reagen that consist of two types of compounds Potassium ferricyanide and
Contains potassium cyanide

Infact after injection his body react as hemoglobin broke down in his blood and due to CN- cells failed to supply oxygen in the body the result he died.let,s talk about little bit in details How Drabkin's reagent with blood to react and understand his death.???

Well the reagent Drabkin's is mainly used in laboratories to diluted and used for estimation of hemoglobin concentration in different blood samples . The Potassium ferricyanide and potassium cyanide two main components formed by this mechanism when he injected in his body contact of anticoagulated blood, with Drabkin's reagent, blood cells break off and hemoglobin liberated. Potassium cyanide, is the main ingredient of the Drabkin's reagent. It's highly toxic. When a fatal dose of potassium cyanide is ingested it causes cells to fail in utilizing oxygen so First, due to the lack of oxygen, the individual becomes eventually dies.

Describe Hemoglobin

Hemoglobin is Greek words heme means blood and globin means protein como of two Greek words,we knew that the three blood cells of animals, the protein present in red blood cells is called globin, so we can say that hemoglobin is found in red blood cells of animals. It is conjugated iron protein. All vertebrates and invertebrates, including humans.

It also plays an important role in returning carbon dioxide from the tissues to the lungs.

Two basic components of hemoglobin are

Hemo Group
Globin chains

Hemoglobin (hemoglobin A) is composed of two alpha (α) chains and two beta (β) chains heme group contains iron that can bind a molecule of oxygen, allowing hemoglobin to carry four oxygen molecules and protein helps maintain blood pH and contributed.

The blood density directly effected just because of Hemoglobin ,the red colour of blood is red just because of Hemoglobin other wise remaining cells are colour less.

Automated Hematocrit vs Manual Hematocrit

Automated HematocritManual Hematocrit
This method used in laboratory to measuring the red blood cell count in blood analyzer to automatically calculate the hematocrit is called an automated hematocrit.Manual hematocrit is the way to determine the red blood cell count in laboratory by manually it's called manual hematocrit
It's more accurate compared to direct methods because it might be reduced human interference and shown the number of cells and size may consider in red blood cell.Might be possible to human mistakes and inconsistency, like underfilling the capillaries .
The counting of red cells, more detail including hemoglobin concentration, RBC indices (MCV, MCH, MCHC), count of white cells WBC and platelet count. It is easy, cheeper and n does not require equipment it is ideal for small clinics so in the results in detaied

Explain a real-life example with the concept of hematocrit.

Well it's applied for those people who suffered in low hematocrit means animic deficiency of iron in body For instance, and polycythemia (who have abnormally high hematocrits) to evaluate, monitor, and guide treatment.it can be determine measure the hematocrit both before and after high-altitude training to determine how fit the body is against the conditions.for example, demonstrating the differences in hematocrit levels, relating by to the various changes within the human body's ability to send oxygen around its system, therefore, is informative for physiology as well as in medical diagnosis.

To finish I would like to invite my friends @enamul17 ,@arshani,@roohiasif99 to participate in this informative challenge the contest post link share here

It's great! You made it in the last minutes.
What do you think about Dr Rangel? He died in a very young age, right? So talented, and yet had to go too early. May he rest in peace.
