Exciting developments and events continue in the SEC and Ripple case.

Recently, Mr. Thomas Hodge, founder of Crypto & Policy, created a petition on the "Change.org" platform demanding that Mr. Gary Gensler - who is likely to be confirmed as the future president of the US Securities and Exchange Commission "SEC" - to drop the lawsuit. Judicial against Ripple.

From what came in the signatures petition addressed to the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission "SEC", the following:

End the Ripple lawsuit and stop the SEC from setting cryptocurrency rules by resorting to lawsuits.

Instead, regulations can be properly formulated and prepared, with public input and partnership with the US Congress.

Hodge accuses the SEC of trying to silence the voices of Ripple supporters while pushing for a baseless conspiracy by former SEC Chairman Jay Clayton and William Hinman, the former director of the agency's corporate finance division, furthering China's interests.

He states that "Gensler" should sit down with the holders of the XRP digital currency and listen to their "stories". In this regard, the petition stated the following:

Gary Jensler must end the practice of policymaking through lawsuits, sit down with the XRPs themselves and hear their stories.

The petition has so far collected more than 700 signatures since its launch.

Gensler and Ripple Corporation:

Earlier, “Brad Garlinghouse” CEO of Ripple, who is also a defendant in the lawsuit filed by the “SEC”, said that he was hoping to “reconsider” the settlement talks with “Gensler” whose position has not yet been confirmed by Before the Senate.

In 2018, Gensler told that XRP is neither a safety currency nor a security.

It remains to be seen whether his views are the same or whether they have changed since then.
