Interesting news. I can relate in a different way. I invested my life savings a few years ago into crypto with ezbtc.ca. The owner Dave Smillie closed down the exchange & took our (my wife & I) cryptos. Left us with no savings. I left Steemit (the internet really) now back slowly recovering. Back in the drivers seat. I retired anyways at 55 like we planned. My wife & I are back with a crypto wallet. Buying what we can & keeping it in our wallet. Not depending on the bank with my savings, my lira, or the government to support us. I see most canadians depending on our government 7& Canada heading towords socialism. So sad to see :-(
