The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday that Duke of Sussex Prince Harry is the latest employee of BetterUp, a Silicon Valley startup. Harry will be its "chief impact officer".

Better Up brings together world-class training experts, artificial intelligence technology and behavioral sciences, to help people "lead a clearer and more dynamic life," according to the company's website.

Harry has talked openly about his mental health struggles, working with one of his amputation coaches, and using the app himself.

"I realize I'm a stranger, so there is no need to involve engineers in that," he told the Wall Street Journal, adding, "I've been reconciled with my coach, who is - quite frankly - really cool, and he's always given me sound advice and a fresh perspective, which is something. Great value. "

Harry's role within the company does not include overseeing direct reports, instead he will provide input on product strategy and corporate giving. It also means that the Duke of Sussex will act as a public front for the company, as he continues to advocate for mental health awareness.

The announcement comes on the heels of the controversial interview Harry and his wife Megan had with Oprah Winfrey earlier this month, in which the couple said they faced racism and rejection within the British royal family.

Since moving to California, the couple have embarked on a series of business ventures, including a podcast project with the Spotify app.
