The other day i wrote, "Do not wait to bug out"
Today i will expound on that, and why it is no longer a proper plan to "bug out".
Bugging out was a notion of having a plan where there would be something that happened locally, and if you had another location you could "bug out" to, then you could easily leave your home to another home already set up to receive you.
In yesteryears, reasons to bug out would be for short term incidents, and it would be just a matter of time before the power was restored and things would return to normal.
Today, the reasons to bug out are permanent.
The empire is failing. The power may not be restored. The riots will not burn themselves out and go away.
In many of the large cities the rule of law only applies to law abiding, affluent individuals.
The homeless druggy can be shooting up heroin in front of your business, but if you use any force to shoo that person away, you will be arrested, fined and jailed. Defending your property is now illegal.
The world has changed.
The order of disasters that may effect your life have flipped
Change of disaster likelihood
It used to be that short term natural disasters were the normal reason to bug out.
- Hurricane
- (a) Riot in your city
- some kind of pandemic that would be over in two weeks.
- Major power or water outage.
- Summer vacation
Things would get fixed, life would be able to continue.
You could return to your normal house and normal life
Now, every reason to bug out is systemic and may not be fixed in our lifetimes.
- Riots in your city... and every other blue city.
- Pandemic lockdowns. Even with nothing there... you are prevented from utilizing the city that you exist in.
- If the water or electricity goes out, it might never be coming back.
- Failing infrastructure that isn't getting repaired. The lack of which makes city living impossible.
- People being moved to FEMA camps (starting in densely packed populations)
- The police won't protect you
- The military may become your enemy.
The old life of freshly stocked grocery stores, most people being law abiding, and clean steets are a thing of the past. And there is a group of people that want you tagged and tracked. To eat bugs and not have any means of escaping.
Reasons you should not wait to Bug Out.
Right now the most important thing to do is get together with like minded people.
Start building community and connections.
This takes time.
You need time to get to know your neighbors.
And when things are really bad, these rural neighborhoods will be very suspicious of anyone moving in.
You need time to get your garden growing.
It takes more than a year to really get a new garden up to speed.
It takes almost six months before a new chick will lay her first egg.
We have passed the top of the housing market.
It is all downhill from here.
The longer you wait, the less your house will be worth. And if you can't have a garden where you live, the house will be worthless.
This time it is different
It used to be that the govern-cement at least fixed the roads and kept the lights on. Anarchists referred to it as a necessary evil
Today, the govern-cement has plans to confine you in a tiny city, track your movements, track your purchases, tax your lifestyle, tax your breathing, decide your diet and in every way control your life.
The people who live out in rural country will be the last to be gotten to by the govern-cement, and the most likely to resist if the govern-cement decides to become heavy handed.
Waiting to bug out is no longer a good plan.
And now is becoming a great time to get out of the cities.
As crypto and silver keep rising and the housing market keep crashing, you can find your homestead.
Start now by moving to an area and renting a house. See the properties, experience the climate, meet the people.
The people, the community is the most important aspect.
They are who you are going to have to rely on when Wallymart goes away.
Learn to live without the govern-cement.
Trade with real people for the things you need.
Become truly free.
Great article but Rural people are hardy, survivors, couldn't really care about much and usually veterans since only people that own land care to fight for it and win. It's just a few miles to the neighbors house...

Yep, and that is the #1 reason to get out of the cities, or bug-out right now. You need time for these people to not recognize you as the enemy invading force.
