The ultimate prepper question is, what will you do when the horde of hungry people come to you homestead?
There are three major possibilities
- Kill 'em
- Feed 'em all
- Run away
(i am sure there is a few more, but divine intervention is not something to be planned for.)
When you think about survival, as small as you, alone, on your ranch, or as large as everyone in the world, it really comes down to having enough to feed everyone.
Can you feed everyone?
Only about 3% of Americans are farmers. The people who process food are not much more. And then about the same number of truck drivers to deliver the food. Still, that is less than 10% of the people. (and i am probably being overly generous)
Can one person really feed ten? Yes, quite easily. Of course they will want help when it comes to harvesting season, but growing that amount of food is not that hard. Early farmers in America did that. The father grew enough food for his wife and children. (until the children got old enough to actually help) Today, with modern conveniences, like automatic watering, one could easily provide for 9 other people. And, after the farm buildings are all set up, he could probably feed even more people.
So, if we could get 10% of the population to own a homestead, and plant a food forest, and build large chicken runs, grow crops and hay to winter over the livestock, then we could feed ALL the hungry masses that will be coming.
It is doable, but 10% of 300 million is 30 million. And that is a lot of people, and that will be a lot of land. And Billy Gatez is probably not going to give up his land without a fight. He wants us all to starve.
Everyone should take care of their own
Getting that many people to work together means creating a economy around it. Money will be needed to motivate the vast majority of those 30 million food growers. And, since The US and their puppet masters, those mother WEFers, do not want people to get fed on their own, outside of their control, they will not allow us to use their currency. So, we will have to start from the ground up. That will be quite the war. Farmers vs Banksters. (and it is already happening, it is just not to the shooting part)
Unfortunately, these things don't work that way. Getting millions of people to do something takes a great deal of leadership and incentives. Venezuela is telling people that they need farmers if they are going to have food, but no one is wanting to move out to the rural lands. (where they will have the fruits of their labors stolen from them) So, us prepper community people can only take care of ourselves.
If we don't, the amount of free-loaders (aka hungry people, who know nothing about farming) will quickly overwhelm our ability to feed everyone, including ourselves.
So, what we do, is go find a piece of property, on the outer edges of the city, or out in the country, and build our own homestead and begin to become food-self-sufficient.
It is really all that we can do. There is no way to organize 30 million people in America at this current time. And really, all we have control over is what we do. So, if we see that food is going to become scarce, we must find a way to feed ourselves. Only after that can we work towards feeding our family/friends. And only after a LOT of people make this move can we think about feeding the country.
We must start with ourselves.
How many do we really have to feed?
As long as you do not live near a huge blue city, there might not be that many to feed.
So, these blue haired city dwellers are probably going to go this way:
- The food supply slowly lowers.
- Food rationing starts
- People start going hungry
- These people start rioting, robbing food stores, stopping delivery trucks, eating zoo animals and pigeons.
- All the food is gone, the trucks have stopped and what is left of the people will try to go wherever they think they can get more food.
- They clog the freeways. They can only get as far as the tank of gas the had when the riots started. The hungry hordes try to ravage all within a few hundred miles of the city.
There is so many ways this may be modified.
Like, those mother WEFers may keep them on rations that barely keep them alive. Given enough time, these people become too weak to walk out to the country.
Or, FEMA moves in and starts moving people to camps. So, there are car bombing rioters over here, and FEMA camp "attendees" over there. The rioters will probably be spent before they figure out that they were left in the city to die.
Another thing that may happen is that the roads leaving the city are destroyed / blocked / barricaded by police / military trapping all the city dwellers inside. This is highly likely if whoever is in charge is also planning the food rationing.
So, under any of these conditions, if you are over 100 miles away from a major blue city, you will see a maximum of 10% of the city's population. And, there are paths where you will see no one. And other paths where you will see the military going to farms/homesteads to confiscate food. (i really hope they don't do that, because that will get very bloody)
If we assume that only 10% of the city folk make it out, then we could easily feed them. Except they won't be equally distributed. And it may not be worth it to feed any one of them.
I wish we could pick them up and distribute them all around to equal out the burden. But, in many of my perceived situations, there will be a group of controllers that do not want that to happen.
Feeding everyone is the only true answer. It is the only humane choice.
However, the only choice that we may have available to us, is personal survival.
And, right now, everyone could choose to focus at least part of their lives to growing their own food. Then we wouldn't have this problem.
Inevitably, everyone will be a part time farmer. There are few jobs that are so important, that another person will do the gardening for you, so that you don't have to stop doing that more important task. Further, there are few people who will trust another enough to make sure they stay fed (not family, not close friend)
Please store enough food to last for a month, this will be vital to give you time work out what is happening, and make a plan to survive. It may be UN troops you are up against. It may be FEMA storm troopers. It may be hurricane Hitlery. It may be an "EMP" that is blamed on the Russians. It may be an "alien" invasion, blamed on the aliens. It may just be all of the illegal migrants in our country turning out to be a trained army.
What you want is enough food to lay low, while all the big fighting happens, and for you to get a lay of the land. You NEED to stay away from grocery stores the moment you get a whiff of rioting. (do not try to go the store one last time)
