Hello, beautiful people of the @Steem-Travelers community, I hope we are sound, we are now counting days and not more for us to wave 2021 goodbye. My appreciation goes to @hive-111293 for this beautiful contest about water. The joy in water makes me want to swim always.

I love swimming and especially when the sun is hot, I can stay in the water for as long as possible. Where I come from, people take swimming as their profession and which is good. I started swimming when I was little and by then, we could use 20 liters to measure how long someone can sustain inside the water and this alone helped us to play hide and seek inside the water.

This alone has saved my life when some people attacked us and the only way to suffer was to jump into the river and hold your breath. They shot no doubt but I was able to hold my breath inside the water and that is how I was saved before the 2015 election was held in my country Nigeria.

Water has killed and likewise, water is nice because you can drink from it but when there is a tempest, a lot of people have gone to the grave due to this act. My Dad was a fisherman and I can recall that my dad's boat sink when the tempest arose in early 2004 and thankfully nobody died but the boat, engine, and the crayfish they caught all were lost but my Dad was grateful that no life was lost.

The stream in Oron helps us to wash clothes with the water, drink from it, swim, and even catch a cruise. The water flows and since the stream has different sections, the spot for fetching water is different from the place we shower.

Water is nice and at the same time very risky but no time to debate again, I use this medium to invite @charis20 and @ellabae to this contest.
