My village is a spot I enjoy visiting during my vacations or if I am tired and want to unwind. A village is an area far apart from the city's pollution and noise. In a village, you also sense a connection to the soil.

There are also trees, a variety of crops, a variety of flowers, rivers, and so forth. Apart from that, you might feel a chilly air at night and a warm but nice breeze throughout the day.

More than 50 percent of Sri Lanka's population lives in villages. Similarly, villages are our primary source of food and agricultural products. Following independence, the villages experienced significant demographic and educational growth.

Villagers are more committed to their work than city dwellers, and they have greater strength and capacity than city dwellers.

Furthermore, the entire hamlet is peaceful and harmonious, with no conflicts of any kind. Villagers are kind and supportive of one another's hardships and joys.

Above all, you can see stars at night that you couldn't see in the city.
