Hi friends
Last week I got a chance to visit Gommolli Kanda with myfriends.Gonmollikanda is the 13th highest mountain in Sri Lanka, rising 2,034 meters above sea level. The mountain was named after Sri Lanka's native language, Sinhala, because the peak of the mountain resembles a bull's hump. The word 'Gommolliya' in Sinhala means 'bull's hump.'
This mountain is about a half-hour drive from Belihuloya village in Sri Lanka's Sabaragamuwa Province and offers some breathtaking views. At this location, one can relax and enjoy the breeze and silence, or they can have a good time camping with their friends and sharing stories while being surrounded by nature's beauty.
The World's End and its visitors, the Horton Plains, and mountains such as Yahalatenna, Bambarakanda, Wangedi Kanda, and Hawagala can all be seen from the summit. Udaveriya, Haldummulla, Haputhale, Idalgasinna, Wellawaya, Hambegamuwa, Kalthota, Udawalawe reservoir, Samanala Wewa Reservoir, Halpe, Kalupahana, A4 road, Balangoda, Nagrak, and Non-Pperial tea estate are also notable landmarks.
