Hello my beloved Steemians in this wounderfu community of #steem-travellers. It's my pleasure to to share with you about my journey to Abakaliki Ebonyi state capital.
My journey to Abakaliki all started right from 245 Recce Battalion Afi Barracks Ikom Cross River State at where my Dad is working. I began my journey in the morning, after arranging luggages at home which we can see on the image below.
After putting my clothes in my travelling bags as shown above, I went to the bathroom and take my bath and after coming out of the bathroom, I then stressed up and carried my luggages to the gate. At the gate of the army barracks I saw some politicians with their convod droving inside the barracks which you and see as some of them are entering inside the barracks from the image below.
After taking photos of the gate and myself standing outside the gate, I then say goodbye to the barracks because I know that I wouldn't be returning so soon to the barracks. Immediately, as I was waiting for a vehicle that will convey me to Mbok junction that was when I saw one of my old time friend that stop and greeted me. We both attract with each other before I then enter a vehicle to Mbok junction which you can see me seating inside the vehicle.
At first, before we get to Mbok junction the driver stop and carried two people on the road which is a man and his wife. The Man was going for treatment. Looking at the man I feel pity on him because he couldn't walk his body were cover with bandage. Because of the man I had to leave the back seat for him along to seat comfortably, which you can see him inside the vehicle.
From the army barracks to Mbok junction is just about 30 minutes drive. As soon I as I arrived Mbok junction I paid the driver 400 Naira and left immediately to Abakaliki park which you can see from the image below.
Reaching at Abakaliki park the first thing I was asked to drop my luggages and go and make a payment of 2000 Naira to the cashier which I did and coming back I saw that the little Garri that I carried to give my brother was thrown on the ground which I feel so bad about it at that particular moment.
However, the driver took the blame upon himself, and apologies to me and other passengers before the vehicle started moving to Abakaliki which you can see me and other passengers inside the vehicle below.
As we where going I bought orange, and we stopped at about four (4) checkpoints and at the checkpoints all we were asked to come out of the vehicle and walk across the checkpoints. Although, as at that particular time no one was authorized to used his/her phone to either received calls nor take photos. As the only thing I hold on hold inside the vehicle were my Bible and Laptop*.
After driving for 3 hours on the road we finally, got to Abakaliki international market. At the market I saw peoples trooping in out with goods at the market. Is a very large market which you can see from the images below.
Our vehicle stop opposite the international market, and all the passengers was asked to come out and look for another vehicles that will take them to their destination. As for me I have to called my brother and asked him of his location, of which he told me to come and wait for him at the stadium since he is still at work.
Reaching the stadium with the Okadaman that carried me, he show me a place that I can stayed and wait for my brother to come, around the premises of the stadium. While I was waiting for my brother to come, I saw a woman that is selling roasted yam/plantain with beans opposite the stadium,I then went to her place and stayed. As I was relaxing I started feeling the aroma of her food, which lead me in buying her food which you can see below.
After eating the roasted yam and beans, I then saw three boys beside the woman stand making bons, meatbit, chin-chin etc. Below are the image of the three guys.

And finally, I brother came and met me, and took me to his house.
