WELCOME TO NSUKKA

Good day travellers, hope you all are doing good. Today I want to take you on a tour around my town, I will be showing you some places and artworks peculiar to my town. If you ever visit my town, do well to visit these places, only then can you truly say you know my town. I hope you find it interesting.

The name of my town is Nsukka and is found in Enugu state in Nigeria. it's a small but popular town because the first university in my country Nigeria was built there. It's not yet quite developed , the economy of the town is basically tied around the university and as such the university and her structures are the notable landmarks in the town. Join me as we take a tour around my town.

This is the university of Nigeria Nsukka, like I mentioned before it's the first university built by the Nigerian government.

Next , this is one of the trees prominent in this region, it's popular here and can be found almost every where in my town ,it is called the old oak tree.

This is the school of general studies, it is also a popular structure here in Nsukka, people go there to obtain bachelor degrees in different fields

This building is called NNAMDI AZIKIWE LIBRARY, It's one of the biggest library in Nigeria and Africa. it is also a notable structure in the town

This is a mountain found in my town, it is popularly known as the vet mountain, this is because it is found very close to a veterinary clinic, people go to the mountain for hiking. Its usually one of the best recreational sites in the town

Here is an aerial view of the town, I took this shot from the top of the vet-mountain when I last went hiking, I really like this picture, it really shows how beautiful the town is

And this is the main park of the town, where all inter-state commercial vehicles are boarded and where they all end their journeys , it is usually the busiest place in the town and it is just at the entrance of the town.

This building is one of the finest and most popular in the town, it is actually found in the university of Nigeria, it is the administrative building of the school, the school's "white house". Often times people go there to take pictures

This is another important and fun place, it's the town's basketball court, it's usually crowded in the evenings when the basketball players come to play, it's notable because it brings people together

And lastly , one thing to note about my town is that it is blessed with quite a lot of artist, the people of Nsukka are widely not for their sculptures. Here is one of her popular sculptures. It's portrays the life of the people before civilization, how they moved about almost naked carrying their jar of water. I sometimes laugh whenever I see this sculpture, I really can't believe people actually moved about this way without shame
