Hello everyone! Today I went to the city of Kronstadt. I wanted to show it later, but too much emotion)
It is a port city in Russia, located on Kotlin Island, not far from St. Petersburg. Actually, it is part of St. Petersburg.
The main attraction of Kronstadt is the Naval Nikolsky Cathedral.
It was built in 1903-1913.
Since May 2013, it has been considered the main temple of the Russian Navy.
So beautiful, it takes your breath away!
The temple repeats the volumetric-planning structure of the Hagia Sophia in Constantinople (Istanbul).
The Naval Cathedral is a monument to all the ranks of the Russian fleet, the base of which in Kronstadt was created by Peter I.

It's marvelous! The photos are truly beautiful. The paintings on the ceiling are so great that I could look at them for hours. Thank you so much for sharing!

This is an Orthodox cathedral, they generally look something like this. But this is an unusual brick design on the outside, and plus a large size))
