Hundreds of people make their living by working in this brick kiln. People from our village and a few nearby villages work in this brick kiln. Sometimes people from other parts of the country also come here to work. This morning I saw hundreds of people working on this brick kiln. People from our village and a few nearby villages worked. The real work of brick kiln is done in the morning. I went this morning and realized how hard people work to make bricks and how hard they work to make a living.

First mud is made from soil by a machine. Some people bring soil and put it in the machine. Again, the mud was carried by some people in a van-like vehicle to the bricklayers. There are 3-4 people for one machine to deliver the mud. And there are 3 machines in this downstream. Then the craftsmen make bricks with sand and clay. Work starts from 3 or 4 in the morning. Then the work of making bricks continued till noon.

All kinds of people work here, from young to old. The two little boys in the picture above are near our house. About they are my niece. They were supposed to go to school at such a young age but due to lack of family they also had to take the helm of the family which made me very sad. I am thankful to Allah that I did not have to work at such a young age.
