Greetings to @hive-111293 and my fellow steemit members of this unique community, how're you all doing at the moment healthwise and otherwise?
I am pleased to participate in this mind-blowing and interesting contest organized by the initiator of this community @hive-111293.
In this article, i am going to highlight 3 things i like the most in my country, Nigeria. Those three things are: (1) the wonders of nature (2) favourable and conducive climatic conditions (3) divergent or diverse culture. At this juncture, we're going to consider these 3 things one at a time.
The wonders of nature is one of the 3 things i like the most in my country, Nigeria. Among them include the most enchanting or magnificent rock in Jos, plateau state, known as the Riyom Rock.
The Riyom Rock is in otherwords called the Three-Rock Wonder, check it out in the images below.
It is situated in Riyom town in Jos, Akwanga road, plateau state, Nigeria. This picturesque rock is one of the most unique rock formations in Nigeria. In fact, what surprises me about this rock is the wonderful way they're superbly arranged on top of each other by nature so that they don't fall out, that's quite a puzzle indeed.
Of course, Riyom Rock is usually spoken of as the three rocks considering the way some big rocks are naturally laid on top of each other, as shown in the images above.
Actually, i admire the sight of this magnificent big rock, especially because it is outstandingly among the most enchanting or beautiful sceneries in Nigeria. Moreover, it can be fittingly referred to as a natural platform that showcases one of the most impressive sculptures in Africa.
The majestic way in which those gigantic Riyom Rocks sit on top of each other is enough to leave someone with his mouth wide open, surprised or shocked.
You may check out these puzzling rocks once again in the images below.
As has been aforementioned, Riyom Rock is situated in Riyom Local Government Of Plateau State, which is chiefly occupied by the indigenous people of plateau state known as Berom people.
Significantly, these Riyom Rocks have been naturally arranged that way for many years, and this mysterious rock evidently represents one of the natural wonders.
Interestingly, this engrossing puzzle has for many decades been among the major tourist attractions in Nigeria.

In fact, this is another thing i like most in my country, Nigeria. The weather conditions in this part of the world where i come from is second to none given the fact that apart from us who enjoy our temperate climate being the nationals, foreigners themselves from various parts of the world equally enjoy our weather when they visit Nigeria, particularly the whites who come for vacation, or as expatriate workers or business men, including some of them who visit as investors in Nigeria.
In fact, most of the white foreigners who visit Nigeria prefer to settle in some parts like Jos, plateau state where the cool weather conditions are favourable and conducive for them, while some of them still opt to settle in other parts of Nigeria where they like, as the case may be, and these ones also enjoy the weather condition of that environment where they live.
For example, in the past and prior to this time, if you were opportuned to make a trip to Jos, say 20 or 25 years ago, you would notice that many white foreigners in Nigeria preferred to live in Jos, and of course you would also see a large number of them in a particular region known as Miango Road in those days, because the cold weather in Jos is similar to what those whites experience back in their own country, they do enjoy the weather.
Nigeria's great divergent culture is yet another thing that i like most in my country, for i strongly believe that variety is the spice of life.
Currently, over 250 ethnic groups comprise the country known as Nigeria and the 3 biggest and most noticeable ethnic groups are the Ibos, Yorubas and Hausas.
Other minority groups are the Fulanis, Ijaws, Kanuris, Ibibios, Tivs, Edos, etc.
Before the colonnial days, these ethnic groups had diverse and autonomous histories. In this case, let's consider 3 chief regions that make up Nigeria and they're: Savanna, tropical forests, and coastal wetlands.
The divergent cultures of the people who live in these 3 regions are largely affected by these environmental regions. For example, the hausas and the fulanis benefit from the dry open grasslands found in the Savanna region which makes cereal crop farming such as the growing of wheat, barley, etc, and nomadic herding their way of life and also means of livelihood, in fact, this is their own cultural heritage.
On the other hand, the Yorubas, Ibos, etc, have their own cultural heritage which is the wet tropical forests to the South and this region is ideal for growing fruits, vegetables, and some other crops, and this occupation is the chief source of income for people of this region.
Finally, the Ijaws and the Kalabaris who are part of the groups in the minority, live along the coast, such as creeks, lagoons, and salt marshes, and they live mostly on fishing as their way of life thereby making it their source of livelihood. This fishing lifestyle particularly is their cultural heritage.

These divergent or diverse cultures in the area of occupation aforementioned especially in connection with farming and fishing, and even in other different aspects or ways of life are very exciting and interesting to me. These cultural occupations are a good, sustainable means of living for some ethnic and racial groups both home (Nigeria) and abroad.
I'm personally grateful to @hive-111293 for organizing this interesting contest which has reminded me to appreciate and also be aware of the good things in the environment where i live.
Additionally, i delegated 50SP to @hive-111293 in order to support Steem-Travelers community, as shown in the screenshots below.
