The Diary Game || 2-05-24 || Second day on Campus, balancing academics and Steemit Mentorship

Dear Diary,

It was my second day on campus. A lot of things happened that day, both fun and academic activities. The academic aspect of it was quite interesting and informative no doubt. This is how I started my day. The hustle for good grades and knowledge acquisition has just started. What I was thankful for is that lectures were minimal and that we weren't moving from one campus to another unlike last semester.

Morning Activities

I woke up without feeling my legs. I was actually exhausted the previous day as I had lot of activities running both on steemit and physical. Writing projects for people has really consumed my time for certain things but I had to do this for the money to support myself in school. I had a class by 8Am in the morning of which I had to prepare to meet up.

I started my day by doing my chores before considering the scriptures with my family. The scriptures read placed more emphasis on wanting more, to be rich. It says those who desires to be rich fall into many temptations and snares which can bring forth death. Our first parent Eve wanted more. She wanted to be like God, her creator and that led her Into falling into a temptation that has caused our lives.

She wanted to be rich so to speak. The scripture isn't condemning making money or being financially stable but stresses being rich. I learnt a lot from this bible portion before heading to preparing for school. In a hurry to reach school in time, I couldn't wait for breakfast to be ready. I left with taking in Garri into stomach to hold me a bit.

I boarded a bus to school and on getting there, I used my pass in entering the gate. I hurried to the class and noticed I was a bit late, 10 minutes behind. The lecturer allowed me in and I sat at the extreme end. Her focus was on safety in the laboratory.

The lecturer emphasized what safety is in the laboratory and how it is important to prevent burns and possible death that may arise from carelessness and the likes of them. I was told to read the rules to safety in the laboratory for the whole class which was actually embedded at the far end of the class. This is a picture of it.

The class normally is always interesting and interactive. The use of questions to reach the heart of those she's teaching is what she love doing so as to make her class lively. After the class, I took to doing some internal photographing of my coursemates to capture the moments.

One of my coursemates took to marketing her products in the lecture hall and guess what? She sold all these cakes in few hours. Her marketing strategy is indeed great and I captured her though to advertise for other department to know her.

After whirling my time for other things, I joined a conversation of which I was told to. The conversation was emphasizing why tithe and offering paying has been made mandatory in most churches today. I related an experience of how a lady was embarrassed in a church service. Her crew were told to dance round a basin four good times and then drop money in the basin. All other women put money inside the basin except her.

This is one of the major reasons many don't go to churches because of the mandatory offering giving. This offering is supposed to be voluntary and an announcement don't need to be made the way most churches do. This was deliberated for a while before going for another meeting. The meeting was to commence by 4pm and I had a movie night to attend that same time.

I miss that movie night which pained me a lot. This was to be held at another campus by that same time. Doyin, one of the housemates of the popular TV show was there. This evening was sponsored by MTN, Airtel and Itel in the university of Uyo. There were lot of giveaways. I missed. These are pictures of the event from Facebook social media.

On returning home, I took to surfing the net and also follow up my students in the mentorship group bi organised. They learnt something that night and assignments were given for them to work on.
