Good health is a great gift to humanity and cannot be overemphasized. Living in health should always be appreciated and never be overlooked. People living in good health enjoy such and should endeavour to live healthy and free from diseases.

Diseases are health hazards caused by various environment agents, genetic cause or otherwise. Diseases could be caused by poor hygiene and bad dieting or even carelessness on the part of such individual involved.

I would be participating in the contest immediately sharing my views on the great topic of discuss.

In my local environment in South East Nigeria, the prevalent disease condition in our locality is the toxic and deadly parasite "malaria" caused by the female anopheles mosquito.

However, The malaria has caught up with many families in m locality causing it's victim death, or hospitalized. The general experience of malaria in my locality is very devastating, claiming lives of it's victim and affecting the greater populace s the disease is common and deadly.

The malaria parasite is a dangerous disease passed by a causative agent or vector called female anopheles mosquito this agent is found in the Tropical rain forest zone.

The mosquitoes are usually plenty as they multiply so fast during reproduction. They have dangerous effect as they pierce the skin of there victims with their needle-like proboscis. They suck the blood and transfer dangerous malaria parasite into the blood stream of their victims. The dangerous parasite grows in the system of the human body and finally breaks the system down when it is saturated in the system. The disease remains a deadly one.

My experience about the malaria parasite has bee so many. As I have had numerous encounter of the disease. I got home from a long too and had myself so tired and free hearted. I didn't shut the doors and windows at night because I was with family. Mosquitoes got into my room and had a great feast as they bit me that night so much.

Furthermore, 2 days later series of symptoms such as headache, sore throat, fever and bitter taste started to take its toll on me. I got so feverish and had to take medications to get better. The malaria is a life threatening disease if not treated well could cause death. I bought anti-malaria drugs and had series of injections too before I got better.

Good symptoms of malaria are;

Fever
cough
Dizziness
Sore throat
Bitter taste

The disease has been prevalent in our local society and we always pray for the best of health to be immune to this great parasite.

Good hygiene: Dirty gutters and crevices, stagnant water and polluted environment is a good breeding habitat for mosquitoes, the carrying agents of malaria, therefore a good hygiene would combat the dangerous malaria parasite. Good hygiene is the first step to eradicating malaria in our local areas. Dispose all stagnant water, which is a home for mosquitoes with that malaria can be eradicated.

Insecticides: These mosquitoes has evolved in due course of time, normal
insecticides which could kill these mosquitoes few decades back cannot kill them now. However, strong insecticides can combat these mosquitoes and thereby eradicate malaria too.

Traditional Remedy: The herbal mixture of guava leaf, lemon grass, paw-paw leaf, ginger and garlic. These herbal leaves can be washed and boiled in good volume of water, the cocktail mixture when consumed twice daily for 3 days cure the malaria disease. The herbal decoction has been proven efficacious in dealing with malaria and it has helped various individual in controlling the malaria.

Biochemical Drug Remedy: There are drugs such as anti-malaria drugs injections which has been trusted to tackle the disease such as chloroquine injection, lomartem tablets lonart tablets
