Contest: My Birthday Party // My unforgotten Birthday Celebration.

A birthday is a celebration of a plus year in an individual's life. On the day of the birthday, so many wishes are showered on the celebrant, and gifts are presented. My birth month is December and I was born in the year 1999 on the 15th day of December that year. I always wish to see another beautiful 15th December and I have always seen that as a special day of my life, loved ones, and family celebrates me most times by singing the usual birthday song.

Birthdays are meant to be celebrated because of how the almighty has been so wonderful in giving a free breath of life. Most times people don't feel like celebrating their birthdays but because of the things God has done and blessings in their life, they tend to merge it to be thanksgiving.

Myself, I don't fancy celebrating my birthday, I prefer to stay indoors to keep giving thanks to God almighty but the people around me wouldn't allow me, and my siblings wouldn't allow me to rest at all. On my last birthday, I had a surprise cake for the birthday celebration so, it wasn't something big but my neighbors and children came around to wish me well.

I had this package from my elder sister. My friends posted on social media in celebration of my birthday, and I was wished long life and prosperity, a lot of people commented on the post and I felt very happy and honored by their warm comments and wishes for my new age. Towards the evening, my mother bought me a necklace, my brother bought perfume which is the picture above and a friend bought me a Holy Bible, I felt so valued and honored.

I had a little celebration on my last birthday with my neighbors within the compound but the next year, I am going to celebrate it big, there is a hotel I was introduced to called Amanda hotel, it is one of the biggest and most fancy hotels in Akwanga. On my next birthday, before we get there, I will make sure food is made available for everyone's order. I would want my next year's birthday to be super because it's gonna be my 25th birthday.

In conclusion, birthdays are days I sit to think of how many years have I spent and how many years are left for me, birthdays call for serious attention to looking back and also looking at the future.
