Diary Game: Morning schedule,18/2/2025, Cooking of Afang soup.In the morning I planned to cook Afang soup some weeks ago and l could not because of other engagement.It was an opportunity for me to prepare and cook Afang soup,it is so popular in my area especially the South South and South East regions of Nigeria.This leaf is easily found in this locality,the people of the South East called it Ogasi leaf, since it not common in other parts of Nigeria.It is converted to other parts of the country by buses and cars.The is the most sought after soup in the regions,it is not difficult to prepare,but these are the ingredients.

The stockfish,meat and fish will be boil properly, when they are well cooked,the other ingredients will be added to complete the process.This delightful delicacy is served at such events like traditional marriages, burials thanksgivings, birthday ceremonies and church ceremonies.It is a very important meal in this part of the universe,as such it is well grown in every compound and nearby farms.These leafs are providing household means of livelihood,it is a source of income to many families in the locality.It also provide shades for the occupants of the compound.

In the afternoon, I rested for one hour,later l embarked on the production of Vaseline, this is a jelly kind of cream.Usually use on the air,and sometimes on the skin especially during the harmattan season in my place.The process is not long, these are the materials used in it products

Steps in producing Vaseline,a pot is place on a fire for it to be hot,add some quantity of paraffin oil as you desire,and then add jelly to melt,when it is completely melt,wax is added to make it strong.Allow it to remain on the fire for sometime,remove it from the fire,and add some fragrance to it, allow it to be cooled before,they are put into the containers.The Vaseline is ready for use.

In the evening I arranged evening program Lessons for the children,the teacher who handles my children was around to take the children on mathematics in particular, since the boys are having challenges with mathematics.Having recognized the weakness and fear of the subject,l employ the services of a part time teacher to help groom them.The kids welcome the idea,and embraced it, whenever the teacher was around,I noticed the excitement of the boys,and the zeal to learn and focus on the teachings.The teacher also impart knowledge willingly.

I sat down and watch the proceedings.ln the cause of the lesson, the teacher asked the boys questions,and answers were provided by the children, classwork was given,and the boys provided answers.At the end of the session,the teacher gave the students homework and conclude,and conclude the study.

It was really a good day to me and my children and they were also happy for having a teacher that took them in evening lessons.
