When I was a kid, I watched a lot of cartoons. I could make a list of these cartoons, and the list would be really, really long. But if I had to pick the one cartoon that was closest to me, I think I'd pick Dexter's Laboratory. I always wondered what new devices Dexter would build in his lab in each new episode. I watched it on Cartoon Network, so there were even a few episodes in one day. I think I've seen them all. I've even watched these cartoons from my childhood. It's nice to go back to those days and remember. Dexter had an older sister, Didi. It was sometimes very annoying because it destroyed all the plans of the main character. His parents played a great role there because they too had their separate adventures and were funny in their own way. They were very different from children. It made each episode different and it was impossible to get bored with this cartoon.

I spent a lot of time watching cartoons. I could sit in front of the TV for hours. I remember every time I came home from school, I would immediately turn on Cartoon Network and wait for my favorite cartoons. And I liked almost every cartoon, so I had something to watch. These are the Times of childhood and I am glad that these cartoons shaped my childhood, and not the ones that are currently played on television. I don't see anything so encouraging in these new ones. But maybe it's because I'm an adult and I look at it differently.

As I mentioned above, Dexter was a child genius who built his lab at home. He was the main character of the show. Didi was his older sister, who unfortunately was not gifted with intellect, and everything Dexter built, his sister destroyed. Dexter's parents, I don't remember their names if they had any, they were great sidekicks who had their adventures too.
