What an interesting contest. I'm happy to participate in this contest. About the family, I would love to say that what we call home would not be in existence if there was no family, because the home is what houses the family.

To my understanding, a family is about two or more people who are closely related either by blood, marriage or adoption. To this end, the family is not just a brother, sister, father, mother etc. Being a member of a family gives us the benefits of being loved, cared for, and a shoulder to cry on.

The latest good news in my family is that my younger sister just delivered a bouncing baby boy. The baby is another addition to my parent's family though I'm married and have a family too. The baby boy is my parent's 6th grandchild. Though we live in different cities, the news of the arrival of a newborn brought a lot of excitement and joy to every one of us.

No family wants to hear or experience bad things that will emanate into bad news. In the past, I lost my nephew. It was bad news indeed. No one wants to hear such news in any family, but there's nothing we could do.

My favourite relative

My favourite relative is my second sister. She's my favourite relative because she's so loving, homely, kind and selfless. She's a fashion designer, she practically makes all the clothes worn by all our female relatives.

Steemit is an amazing and happy family. On steemit I've made friends and family members I've never met before but are very nice and supportive.

So, steemit is a very strong and supportive family. The love people show here is just like biological family members. Having to vote and making very beautiful comments is just heart-warming.

Steemit is really a big family with great love and support for each other.
