Hello steemians, and warm greetings to the hot news community. Regarding sharing a quality post and revitalizing our community, I will share a poem.

After the last contest @fantvwiki about poetry, I've had desire to write poems not only for contests. In my way of writing, I either pick a word, image, or character (image) from any source, put myself in that character, and write about it until I get the feelings and emotions flow.

In this poem, I named it the Oarsman. I imagined a Oarsman with his boat, his ability to row the boat and the fear associated with his profession. Some people have a phobia of water. They will pass out, taking them to the middle of the sea where they can see no boundaries, nor when the waves come. I tried to ask myself questions about water bodies, about the ideology of the fisherman, about the animals in the water. In another case, to make it very interesting, I took him on a tourist trip maybe round the world.
I'll leave you with the piece, to enjoy.

The OarsMan

@JOCHRIS

The taste of fresh water
The flavor of sweet wine
The smell of the riverine
Seasoned and spiced.

Is this a ship or a yacht?
It's a boat with a life jacket.
Is that a big wooden knife?
No, it's an oar, my little friend

Teach
Until they've grown fins,
For they are not too young to learn,
Neither are they too small to dive.

I stood in awe,
Without the reach of boundaries,
Amid this stunning sea,
Ignorant like prey,
Seems I will be eaten by a fry
Nor better still, let me swim and die.

I'm an oarsman,
Master of the sea,
I'm the drifter of my boat;
I won't die, I will multiply.

Sail
Rolling gently down the steep,
With meteorology at my fingertips,
Sailing through Banda Aceh,
It's whirling and swirling,
But I bear in the tide.

Guess
How vital is the thin layer,
Between the Pacific Ocean and Atlantic?
How gruesome is the dead sea, just as the name implies?
How chilly is the Antarctic, that I don't need a chiller?
No!, take me to Africa,
Maybe I'm a Nigerian

I grasped the beauty of the universe
like an open palm, with the hills and mountains forming a great canvas.

Dream
The taught of a fisherman,
That there will Be a bountiful harvest,
If only the fishes are not wise.

Hope
We lived for another day,
The joy of fries and lobsters,
That they fled, eaten by sharks.

Explore
I pulled with my strong bicep,
Sailing on the gondola,
Through the pretty waterfalls of Angola,
Drank with the giant sable and danced samba.

Paddle
The waves are coming
Put on your life jacket,
Let's surf the swirling river
For the shore, is over there.
