Assalamu Alaikum friends. Hope you all are well. By the grace of Allah I am also well. Today I came to participate in a wonderful contest organized by this community. The topic of this contest is My Wallet/Purse. So I started by answering a few questions on this topic.

What are the essential items you always keep in your wallet or purse, and why?

Wallet is a daily necessity in our life. Many people cannot live without this wallet. This wallet is used to fulfill many needs of our daily life. My wallet or purse usually contains certain essentials, which I need in my daily life. These things are :-

• Cash : Cash required for daily transactions is always in the wallet. Although digital payments are becoming popular in our daily lives. However, I still have a habit of using cash.

• National Identity Card (NID) : I think it is necessary to carry the National Identity Card with you at all times for verification of identity and availing various services. So keep it with you.

• Driving License : For those who need to drive a car or motorcycle, it is mandatory to carry a driving license. I have this still pending.

• Debit/Credit Card : We carry our debit or credit card for banking activities and for shopping, bill payment or other financial transactions. Although my card is still not generated.

• Pictures : Many people have pictures of loved ones in their wallets that keep them emotionally connected. I have put few passport size photos of me too.

How do you choose a wallet or purse? Do you prioritize style, functionality, or something else?

This is actually a very important question. There are a few things I usually consider when choosing a wallet or purse. These are mentioned below as examples.

• Style : I like wallets that match my outfit or personality. The style, color and design depends on my personal taste and fashion concept.

• Functionality : Functionality of the wallet is one of the most important factors. For example, how many card slots are there, how is the space for notes, whether there is a separate pocket for coins, etc. The wallet is chosen according to the type of things to be carried in daily life.

• Size and Comfort : The size of the wallet is also important at times. Many prefer small and light wallets that are easy to carry. Some people prefer bigger wallets, so that they can keep more things. I have tried both.

• Material : The material of the wallet like leather, canvas, nylon etc. plays an important role in selection. The durability and classiness of the materials influence many people to buy a particular wallet. I use leather wallet.

• Brand and Quality : Many people buy a particular brand of wallet or purse that they believe is reliable and of high quality. I am poor person so use normal brand.

• Price : Budget is also a big factor. We buy wallets according to our budget and compare price with quality.

• Needs : Many choose wallets for special needs. For example, a wallet suitable for holding passports, tickets, etc. while traveling or a type of purse just for keeping cards. I only use it to keep a few things.

Have you ever lost your wallet or purse? How did you handle the situation?

Wallet is a very necessary item. This has to be done very carefully. Never lost my wallet till date though. I have lived very carefully. But if ever my wallet is lost I will take all the steps below. Apart from this, I will also tell you to take such steps.

• Searching immediately : First of all, a thorough search should be done wherever the wallet may be. Try to remember where you lost the wallet and go back there first.

• Blocking essential cards : If the wallet cannot be found, immediately contact the bank and other card issuing companies to try to block all debit, credit and other cards. No one can misuse the cards.

• Making a GD (General Diary) with Police : Go to the nearest police station and make a general diary (GD) of loss of wallet. This will help avoid any legal issues in the future.

• Notifying acquaintances : If someone else finds the identity card or other important items in the wallet, you can return it. That's why telling your acquaintances or posting a post on social media can be effective.

• Using mobile apps : Many people now manage mobile banking and other important information through mobile apps. In that case, log out of the apps or take necessary security measures.

If you could only keep three items in your wallet, what would they be and why?

A wallet is a small object. We can't put much in it. So we have to keep only precious few things. If I could only put three items in the wallet, here are what they would be.

National Identity Card (NID) : National Identity Card is our resume. This is very important for identity verification. Bank, office or any government job may require ID. It may also be necessary in an emergency. If the wallet is lost then it can be found by looking at this NID card.

• Small amounts of cash : Although the use of cards or mobile banking is currently increasing. But in some cases cash is required. Such as shopping in small shops, public transport fare or any other small expenses.

• Debit/Credit Card : It is the most important item for financial transactions. Carrying card is safer and more convenient than carrying cash. It helps with everything from essential shopping to urgent financial services.

Finally, I would like to give you some important advice on using your wallet. Keep only important and necessary items in your wallet. Unnecessary cards, coupons or papers weigh down the wallet and increase the risk of loss. Carrying extra cash can be risky.

Keep a little cash as you need it and get into the habit of using the card. Check the contents of the wallet regularly. Get rid of old receipts or unused cards. This will keep the wallet clean and easy to find important things. Keep photocopies or pictures of your important IDs, cards, for easy retrieval if lost. It is better to keep backup online.
