EMOJIS
Emojis, according to the oxford dictionary, are graphical representations of objects, or concepts. They are also used to portray emotion. The use of emojis started in Japan before being adopted in other parts of the world and subsequently, social media.
Importance Of Emojis
As someone who uses social media alot, I've found emojis useful in many ways, I'll highlight some of them
Used to portray emotion: Just like I mentioned earlier, emojis are representations of concepts. Therefore, each concept has its own emoji. For example, the emoji "🤦" is used to depict disappointment, "🤒" represents sickness, "🥹" represents being emotional, and so on.
Used to represent objects: some of the emojis we have are used to represent objects. For example, "🤖" represents robots, "🌡️" represents a thermometer, and so on..
Some other emojis represent animals, places, nature, and so on.
The use of these emojis is important because it tends to liven messages. For example, if someone says something funny, it'll be more appropriate to use the laughing emoji "😂" than just saying "Lol".
My Best Emojis
"😍": This emoji is used to depict strong love and admiration for somebody or something. I prefer using it over the actual love emoji because it seems to be emitting a wave of passionate love.
"😭": This is the crying emoji. I usually use this emoji when I'm disappointed, or feeling bad about something.
"😂": This is the laughing emoji. It's used to represent happiness or laughter. Most of the times it's also used to show mockery. In my opinion, this is the most used emoji on social media. Due to the fact that social media is mostly used for cruise and fun, there's every possibility that people use the laughing emoji more.
"🐐": I know it's going to be strange for someone to love using the Goat emoji. Thing is, I'm a football fan. In football, GOAT means Greatest Of All Time so the 🐐 emoji is often used to represent the greatest footballer of all time.
"🌚": This is my most favorite emoji. It depicts a smiling moon. I don't really know why I love using this emoji but one thing about it is, somehow you can use it in every situation.

In conclusion, emojis are a crucial part of our social media experience as they help us express ourself, gain knowledge, and have fun too
