The Diary Game: My Relaxing Sunday, A Day Of Reading And Cooking (06-04-2025)

Steemit greetings my fellow steemians, I believe you all are doing great? For those who cares to know how I'm doing, I am fine thank you. Yesterday was a relaxing Sunday for me as I didn't go to church but chilled at home and enjoyed myself. I actually woke up with the thought of going to church but then I remembered that I had no money on me for transportation which would cause about one thousand to and fro so I decided to just use few minutes of my time to worship God at home before doing my chores and having breakfast.

After breakfast, I had my bath and got dressed because I was expecting a visitor and I didn't want to be caught unfresh. While I sat outside to enjoy the cold morning breeze, I engaged in reading because at this point, it's pertinent I read at any given opportunity. My visitor took a whole lot of time so I concluded that maybe he won't be coming anymore so I put in all my attention into the article I was reading. I heard a noise outside the compound so I stepped out to check what was going on and I discovered that a thief who had been stealing provisions from a nearby grocery store was nabbed and at the point of getting to the scene, the thief had been beaten to a nearby death stage. I took some snaps at the scene but won't upload them here because I think it will violate the community's rules and regulations.

I was locked in with my book through out the day, in fact I didn't even notice it was getting late until I stepped outside to use the restroom. I was shocked at the length of time I dedicated to reading and somehow, I was so excited because it's the first time in a long while I dedicated such hours to reading my books. Maybe if I have been doing this a while, I would've used this week for revision instead. When I came back to my room, I checked the time and it was some minutes past 5pm do I paused to go fix something for dinner. St first, I was confused on what to prepare but after some time, I made up my mind to prepare water leaf soup. It's the easiest and less expensive soup I can prepare now so I hurriedly went to the market to buy foodstuff, came back and started preparing the food.

I started with washing and steaming my proteins before making eba. Along the line, I noticed my phone battery was low and would soon shut down so I called my neighbor's child to come and help me buy candle and when she came back from buying the candle, she helped me grind crayfish, pepper and do other little things. She was very excited to help because she knew there will sure be a reward for the help she rendered. After getting everything prepped, I did the main cooking which didn't take me up to forty minutes.

When the food was ready, I dished it out for myself and my neighbor's child and she took hers to my house but before she left, I asked her to come take a picture with me. The room was too hot, there was no way I would eat under that condition so I had my bath first before sitting outside to create a post in one of the Steemit communities. I didn't write much as I had limited time because of my phone's battery. After writing, I stepped out to buy soft drink do I could use it to digest the good I'll eat.

I had my dinner afterwards before going to bed. While trying to fall asleep, I felt a creeping sensation on my skin and I immediately got out of bed to check what it was and behold, a cockroach on my bed. I flee out of bed and and the cockroach, I even went as far as burning it before changing the bed spread to a new one and went back to bed. My sibling called to inform me he's gotten a job he applied for some months ago and I was so excited atleast I'll have a helping hand now.
