Hello my friends greetings and welcome to the season 5 engagement challenge. Today I bring to you my entry on this amazing topic brought to use by Hot News Community which is on the theme: My traditional Wear.

We all are entitled to a particular heritage and culture brought to us by our forefathers. It's but obvious that culture vary from place to place and from one religion to another.

Cameroon is one of the most prominent country on the continent with mixed race and culture with majority of the population being from the grass fields.

The country is made up of 10 regions the most dominating region in terms of culture and tradition being the two English speaking regions of the North-west and South-west.

What Are My Native Wear Name(s).

The Bamenda Traditional Wear popularly known as "Royal Toghu". Is a traditional Wear popularly worn during traditional festivals or traditional meetings. It is made up of velvet, embroiled with red, yellow, white and orange colors of threats by a specialists in traditional Wear.

Having fun with my friends on a cultural Sunday.

Like I said before this wear is recognize even in Church, and most often there are Sundays dedicated and traditional Sundays where people can come to church in traditional wears and perform traditional songs in Church.

Apart from the Bamenda Toghu, there is another traditional were commonly known as "ndop". This time around the
Ndop has square markings and embroiled with traditional symbols, with the threading done with white and black.

Just like the Atoghu. The ndop is not common to many as the Toghu and is mostly worn by notables in the rural areas of the country.

All these wears portray great value in term of culture and heritage. And both use most times to decorate the palace.

How Much Can One Cost?

For the Toghu, it's often sold as complete with the top contains the marking and the down just black and no marking. Getting a complete with cost you around 50,000 frs and in steem value is 334 Steem.

Perhaps if you are interested in just the top with the markings, it going to reduce to 30000 frs per piece but depending on the design too as more complex designs might cost slightly high. In steem price it gives 200 Steem.

Ndop is sold often slightly lower than the Toghu as it require lesser marking and a piece with cost 25000 frs and in steem value 167 Steem.

What is their durability?

The Toghu and ndop are often made of cotton and die with numerous colors. It durability is much more preserve buy the user.

It's often advice that dry cleaning should be the option most time or In case you mush wash it, it's advisable to use just clean water and soup, detergents excluded to maintain it color and durability.

If the Wear is properly taking care of, it can last for more than 2 decades and still looks great.

Do I think it can be allowed to be worn in other places?

If I did include it early, here it is. This wear recognize world wide and can be worn anywhere, anytime. Most often people going in for traditional marriage can use it as a Perfect attire for the couples to be.

Majority of Cameroonians now US citizens often have anal conference come together where the are able to celebrate Cameron culture aware from home. It's also common in south Africa and Canada

Are There Any Similarities Between Your Local Wear And Other Parts Of The World?

I don't thing the traditional Wear is common to any country or tribe out there except Cameroon. This wear is embroiled following our national heritage such as green for grassland, red for peace and unity yellow for sun in the savanna's of the northern part of Cameroon

No country share this traditional Wear except Cameroonians across the globe.

FInally to conclude, I do so by saying I love the Toghu and feel so proud putting it on as it make me feel and be part of my native soil. I think this wear is one of the best in the whole wide world for it uniqueness and if you are reading this, it's high Time you get one for your self.

I end here by calling on @majerius , @sahmie @chiabertrand and @tangwe-rene to join me participate in this challenge.
