Karwan Bazar to Uttara Center || Exploring Dhaka's Metro Rail: A Journey of Speed and Comfort

Today I will tell you the story of my first metro rail station visit and how my journey in the metro was. On June 29, 2024, I visited the first metro rail station with a friend and younger brother.

We originally planned to spend time from Karwan Bazar in Dhaka to a kayaking zone located in Uttara, Dhaka. And to reach the destination without any traffic jams, there was no alternative to the metro rail. As a result, I got the opportunity to travel in the metro rail for the first time.

After entering the Karwan Bazar metro rail station, I was surprised to see the environment there. The interior of the modern metro rail station was really beautiful. While walking through the footbridge and entering the metro rail station, it seemed that the interior might not be that modern.

But after entering the station, I realized how modern it is. The moving staircase and the modern ticket platform seemed to indicate that. Since the traffic jams in Dhaka city are high, passengers choose the metro rail for the convenience of travel.

And here, trains come and go every now and then, so passengers don't have to wait for a long time for the train. Traveling by metro is both cost-effective and time-saving. We traveled from Karwan Bazar Metro Rail Station to Uttara Center Metro Rail Station. It was a distance of about 13 kilometers. We reached our destination in less than 30 minutes by metro.

Whereas, if we went by road, it could have taken several hours to reach there due to traffic jams. So, traveling by metro seemed easy and comfortable to me. It was my first experience of buying and returning modern tickets.

My journey was made easier by the presence of a friend and younger brother. They were the ones who waited in line for the tickets. And at that time, I was busy taking pictures of different places at the station. I would recommend those traveling in Dhaka to travel by metro. Although the number of passengers in metro trains is high, you will not find a more comfortable journey on the road.
