Discussing about culture and traditional clothing, this cannot be separated from how people's living habits and customs affect their habits of dressing in everyday life. Because the essence of dressing is actually not only as a cover for the body, but also identical with the identity and character of a person.

On this occasion I would like to show you all about some of the traditional clothes that exist in my area, especially those that are often worn when holding weddings, because in my place traditional clothes are often worn when there are big events such as weddings and celebrations. certain only.

Songket

The first traditional clothes I want to introduce are traditional clothes that are often worn by women at weddings, usually those who wear these clothes are close relatives of the bride and groom.

Songket clothing itself is clothing that has the characteristic of a songket cloth that is slung over the wearer's body, where songket cloth itself is a typical woven cloth from Indonesia. Usually in addition to being worn at weddings, songket clothes can also be worn when attending major celebratory events.

The price of songket cloth to be used as clothing actually varies greatly, depending on the quality and difficulty in the manufacturing process. However, for one songket suit worn by my wife as seen in the photo above, it costs approximately Rp. 500.000,00 (Indonesian currency) for one suit, or if we convert it into Steem prices, it is approximately 166 STEEM, if based on the price of Rp. 3000 = 1 STEEM.

Batik

If women often wear songket clothes at wedding celebrations, then men will usually wear traditional Batik clothes. Batik itself is a traditional clothing that is woven with batik cloth itself, but for now there are also many batik cloths that are made in practical ways such as screen printing and stamp printing.

Batik is a traditional clothing which is a combination of art and technology that was passed down by our ancestors from time immemorial, until now Batik has been known throughout the world which is the embodiment of our identity as Indonesians.

Nowadays, traditional batik wear is also widely worn not only for certain parties and celebrations, it looks formal when we wear it, making this batik clothing widely worn for various daily activities.

Talking about Batik will not be complete if we don't discuss its philosophical meaning, because our ancestors believed that the embodiment of batik cloth symbolizes the perseverance and tenacity of the cloth maker himself so as to produce satisfying works. Then the motif of the batik cloth itself has its own characteristics in each region, this can be interpreted by the differences that exist in the lives of our people, should make the atmosphere more harmonious.

Similar to songket clothes, the price of a single set of batik clothes also varies greatly, the price is influenced by the quality and difficulty of the manufacturing process. Based on the price of the Batik clothes that I wear as in the photo, it costs around Rp. 250,000.00 (Indonesian currency) or if it is converted into STEEM the price is 833 STEEM, if based on the price of 1 STEEM = Rp. 3000.
