Thank you to everyone who took the time to enter the Hot News #3 contest. This contest is now closed.

It was interesting to read your entries, however, most entries didn't look like a piece of news, and journalistic style was missing in virtually all the entries. Most of the posts were more like personal accounts than news stories.

I was a little disappointed at the low number of participants. Hopefully, this can improve in the future. One of the key features of this community is the news report and one can develop this with constant practice.

You don't need to copy news from an online source, you can always write about any news around you, it's simple.

I hope people will be able to continue to develop and evolve their writing skills - and also their presentation skills.

I commend all of you for the effort and I hope you all will improve on it by next week. Unfortunately, one of the entries was plagiarized content and I wouldn't welcome that next time.
