SteemTV #11 :War Situations (Ukraine)

Hi guys, It's another week with SteemTV, Welcome to SteemTV Show....!

Today's edition of SteemTV focuses on the present situation in Ukraine and how they are coping, It will also educate folks about war and what It means to be in a war environment. These are just my Imagination of what a war looks like and its effects... This is in no way degrading any country in the world.

What are some of the effects caused by war? How are children affected in such an environment? I will be talking to a Ukrainian who has a little experience with such a situation....join me as I speak with @antorv from Ukraine...

Tension fills the air! Soldiers are gathered at the edge of each street!! The sound of their boots is crunching!!!

Arms and machinery are on standby!!! There is an order to push and advance!!!

What exactly do you hear? 👉 Sounds of War😓.

The above scenario has terrified some countries of the world lately and it is a cause for alarm.

To some, it is a time to risk their lives in the name of their country, others see it as a time to prove themselves, to earn glory and honour.

Still, for some, it is a terrible nightmare they wish they could wake up to. I haven't experienced these situations before in my life, but I have heard of the Biafran War in Nigeria which happened many years ago before I was born. I am just using my Imagination to picture this situation

What is war?

Basically, when two or more nations, states or groups are involved in a state of armed conflict through the use of weapons or military tactics, it is typical of WAR.

What are the causes of war?

War can result from certain factors ranging from economic interest to territorial disputes to political or religious differences to nationalism to power struggles or political ambitions. But not limited to these factors.

It is very sad that for some reason a lot of people choose to use war as a method of promoting peace or solving conflict. But does this exactly work out? Maybe highlighting the aftermath of wars would solve that puzzle for us. Please note that these are just my common reasons.

Effects of war

• As a result of war, millions if not billions of lives are lost in global wars for example. Local wars are not exempted as there is usually involvement in physical compacts. Most times not only the soldiers or combatants die, but civilians including children and mothers die in the process.

• Lifetime injuries can be sustained in the process. I know of a friend who lost both his legs in a local clash between two communities. He will live with this predicament till he dies. Individuals develop lasting illnesses for a lifetime due to maybe chemical inhalation or some internal injuries.

• Destruction of homes, expensive infrastructures and buildings are often seen as war aftermath. A lot of resources must have been put into erecting those structures.

• Survivors are often displaced from their homes, they have to flee, leaving behind their valuable items. Imagine a family who has invested so much in a certain location and now is forced to flee to another area where they will start a fresh life altogether, life will definitely be really difficult. Right now I am picturing refugees in my mind.

• Careers and adventures of young bright and intelligent kids are thrown away, these ones can't go to school anymore, and they can't even live their daily routine of life as their hopes and ambitions are shattered.

• Wars can have psychological effects and traumas on those who have experienced them. A survivor who has lost loved ones, or valuable possessions might experience depression, anxiety or other psychological traumas sometimes for life.

• War can have a lasting effect on a country's economic status. Decreased productivity, high level of poverty, and high level of depts are typical of war aftermath.

---

In all, Efforts to resolve and prevent conflicts through diplomacy and peaceful means are crucial in promoting global stability, therefore, reducing the harm caused by war.

While speaking to @antorv she took the time to express the effects of wars as I have highlighted above. Though where she is staying is a bit safe now, others are experiencing some challenges of this war in Ukraine……….
