Steemit Engagement Challenge S5-W1|My traditional Wear: Lantan and Ankara wear.

Hello everyone, it's a pleasure for me to share my traditional wear with you all through the contest organized by this noble community. Each culture can indeed be identified through its traditional wear. In my country, there are numerous tribes and everyone has their traditional wear as well. I'm a Tarabian from the Sardauna local government area of Taraba state Nigeria we have two traditional wear which I will be sharing with you all. But before then I want to appreciate the community for coming up with this beautiful topic.

The name of my traditional wear is called lantan, the name of the attire was named after the late queen back then in the 19s because she was the one that made the first traditional wear with her hand. Since then people have been using it during traditional ceremonies, traditional marriages, and festivals. The traditional wears are not that common they are being produced based on request.

Another traditional wear which I will share with you all is called Ankara wear, this is one of the most common wear in my country, mostly its being used by most of the people in Nigeria, the Ankara is of different type and all are very unique and nice. It is mostly used by both men and women it is one of the simplest wear which you can be very much comfortable in it.

Lantan traditional wear is quite expensive because it is only used for traditional fairs but as for Ankara wear is sold at a very low rate depending on the quality you want, some are expensive while some are cheap. Here is the breakdown of all the prices.

The durability of the traditional attire is unlimited that is to say it can last longer because they use tick tread in making the tire, traditional wear can last for a long unless you want to give it out to another person but it has a long-lasting duration.

As for the Ankara, it can last too but not as long as the traditional wear, if you buy the local Ankara it will not last long but if you buy the original one then it will last longer as well. All my Ankara, are of good quality and the materials are very unique and strong I have made use of them for more than three years some are even more than that.

Why not, it is always a joy of every culture to see that it's traditional wear is being worn by another person which shows that the traditional wear is not just beautiful but the culture is rich and known by many people. So it will be allowed to be worn in other places.

Yes, there are similarities between our local wear and others, the traditional wear is similar to that of the kaka people and the Ankara is similar to that of Ghana just that the design on each of them is kind of different likewise the Benue people share almost the same color and material of our traditional wear but the design on it is also different.

In conclusion, I love my tradition and our wear is very unique and beautiful whenever I wear my traditional wear I always feel on top of the world because my culture is my pride. Thank you for reading through, I invite @mjerry @josepha, and @ishayachris to come and take part in this contest.
